PROBLEMS WITH CONTACT LENSES AND CONTACT LENS CARE PRODUCTS CAN LEAD TO CORNEAL INFECTIONS, REDNESS AND VISION LOSS. It is very important that you follow your contact lens professional's instructions and those on the label for the proper use of contact lenses, care products and the contact lens case. Eye problems, among others Inflammation can occur and lead to vision loss. Daily contact lenses are not indicated for overnight wear and should not be worn while sleeping. Clinical studies have shown that wearing these contact lenses overnight increases the risk of serious side effects. Long-term contact lenses should be removed, cleaned and disinfected or discarded and replaced regularly. Your contact lens specialist will determine the schedule for this. Clinical studies have shown that long-term contact lens wearers are more likely to experience serious side effects compared to daily contact lens wearers. Studies have also shown that the longer the long-term contact lenses are worn before they are removed for cleaning and disinfection or disposal and replacement, the greater the risk of serious side effects. It has also been shown that side effects occur more often in smokers. If you experience discomfort, excessive tearing, changes in vision or redness of the eyes, remove your contact lenses immediately and consult your contact lens specialist. It is recommended to see a contact lens specialist twice a year, and more often if ordered. You should strictly adhere to the contact lens wiping and rinsing times outlined on the product label to adequately disinfect your contact lenses and reduce the risk of contamination. If the rubbing and/or rinsing time is too short, your contact lenses may not be cleaned adequately. Refill your contact lens case with fresh solution every time you put your contact lenses in it. Never just add solution and do not reuse it. Dispose of the care solution immediately after removing your contact lenses from the case. Never bring your contact lenses into contact with water or store them in water. Also, do not use any to rinse your contact lens case, whether it is tap, bottled, or distilled water. Also, do not use other non-sterile solutions. Clean, rinse and air dry your contact lens case every time you remove your contact lenses. Remove excess solution by turning the contact lens case upside down while it air-dries. Change your contact lens case regularly. Failure to dispose of the contact lens case solution after each use or using water to care for the contact lenses can lead to contamination, which can lead to eye injury and possible vision loss.
